How Long Does Water Damage Take To Dry?

The standard answer: three to five days
For a clean-water loss affecting drywall, carpet and standard subfloor, three to five days of continuous equipment is typical. That assumes extraction happened quickly and the equipment never gets switched off.
What makes it take longer
Dense and layered materials hold moisture much longer:
- Hardwood flooring: five to ten days with mat systems
- Concrete slab: five to seven days minimum
- Plaster and multiple layers of flooring: a week or more
- Crawl spaces and enclosed cavities: four to seven days
Why Conroe is slower than the national average
